At the homepage of our Maine Coon cattery. Our cattery is
named Vaskebjorn which means raccoon in most Scandinavian
languages. And as you might know, the legend says the Maine
Coon originated out of the North American raccoon and a
"normal" house cat (or better a ships cat) brought in by
the early sailors.
We already operate our cattery since 1992 and strive to
breed healthy kittens, with preferably good coon looks.
But naturally health comes on the first place. Therefore
we only have 1 or 2 litters per year in our cattery. This way
we can give all attention to the kittens and all the other
cats, which we deem necessary.
